NanoFlame NF02

NanoFlame NF02 is recommended for the pretreatment of small and medium-seized surfaces up to postcard size.  A singular filling of the NanoFlame NF02 allows continous working of approx. 2 hours. The empty flame device can be refilled with NanoSil special gas mixture from 200 resp. 600 ml. cartridges.

This device is very easy to handle and was designed to keep you mobile.

NanoFlame NF03

The NanoFlame NF03 device was designed to silicate larger parts. It possesses a 60mm burner head and an internal evaporator boiler for permanent and quick pretreatment of large substrates. This device is still handy enough to give the user the greatest possible spacious flexibility. The evaporator boiler allows a very homogeneous silicate deposit over the entire flaming period of approximately 75 minutes.

NanoFlame03-2

The NanoFlame NF03-2 is just like the NanoFlame NF03 but is equiped with service pipes for two 600ml gas cartridges. They can be operated separately or jointly. This allows a total flaming period of approximately 150 minutes.

Pretreatment Plants

Polytec PT offers custom developed pretreatment units for the industrial use as part of an inline production or as stand-alone station. Together with the customer our specialists will find the ideal pretreatment method,  size, functions, number of burners etc.
The Silane Treatment Module PT 2607 was designed as central feeding unit for the silane-additive component. It can be runned independently or integrated into an automatic fabrication.

NanoSil Special Gas

NanoSil is a special propane-butane-organosilicon gas mixture that serves as pyrolytic gas for the NanoFlame pretreatment devices.

NanoSil 05 is the standard gas mixture for a variety of applications.

NanoSil 06 is a gas mixture with a higher silane concentration for thin-walled and extremely temperature sensitive substrates.

The following sizes are available:

  • 200 ml cartridge
  • 600 ml cartridge
  • special containers for industrial units

Test Ink

To visualise the effects of the silicating process we recommend the use of the Polytec PT  TT test ink. If the pretreatment has worked perfectly the ink drop will spread very homogeneously on the substrate indicating the increased surface energy.

The following test inks are available:

  • TT 5625        25 mN/m -especially for PP and PTFE
  • TT 5640        40 mN/m -    for general use
  • TT 5665        65 mN/m -    for substrates with high surface energy like chromate or phosphate treated metals

    Adhesion Promoter

The Polytec PT HP-adhesion promoter series is recommended to realize high-duty adhesive  bondings and coatings. The HP adhesive promoter are working on the sol-gel-method. In combination with flame pyrolytic surface silicating. silane based coupling agents like HP A-41 adhesion promoter as well as hydrophobic adhesives this layer provides the basis for a stabil long-term water and solvent-resistant adhesive bonding.

The adhesion promoter can be applied as very thin layer by painting, dipping, spraying and rollcoating. This layer will remain chemically reactive for at least 8 weeks.
